The Arcadia Bird T8 lamp is a specialized full-spectrum lighting solution designed to provide captive birds with the essential ultraviolet (UV) light they would naturally receive from direct sunlight. As the "benchmark" for avian lighting for over 20 years, these T8 lamps use proven technology to support the natural production of Vitamin D3, which is critical for strong bones and successful reproduction.
These lamps feature a high Color Rendering Index (CRI) to allow birds to see in full, natural color (tetrachromacy), improving their environment and reducing behaviors like feather plucking. The T8 series is highly adaptable and can be easily fitted to breeding cages or indoor flights using standard output T8 controllers. Each lamp is engineered to remain UV-B potent for one full year of use (based on a 12-hour daily photoperiod).
