The EDEN external filter is suitable for filtering and water treatment in fresh and saltwater aquariums and is available in different sizes.
The external filters of the EDEN 500 series combine high filter performance with a compact design. They are suitable for aquariums up to 300 litres and can be optimally adapted to every aquarium type thanks to the wide range of accessories and filter media. All required components are included in the contents of delivery, such as intake pipe, connecting parts and a special outflow pipe, which ensures better oxygen absorption at the water surface through several fine outlet openings. As an alternative to the outlet pipe, you can use a water diffuser.
All EDEN 500 models can be used in both fresh and saltwater and can be placed next to, behind or below the aquarium. The energy-saving motors are protected against overheating by a thermal switch and are particularly quiet. Stable rubber feet guarantee a secure stand and prevent vibrations on the installation surface. The design as a self-priming system makes installation and restarting particularly easy. Inlet and outlet hoses are connected via an adapter unit with automatic shut-off and integrated flow control. This prevents water from escaping during cleaning.
The filter chambers are equipped with different filter media, in which the water is mechanically pre-filtered in several filter stages and biologically processed using a ceramic filter material. Another plus: EDEN 500 external filters can be equipped with an EDEN adjustable heater, which is not visible in comparison to a separate heater in the aquarium and means more safety for you and your animals.
