Galapagos Rock – Natural Aquarium Stone (Price per kg)

💰 Sold per kilogram – we will prepare your order as close as possible to your requested weight. Any difference in value will be refunded on delivery.

Galapagos Rock is a striking natural stone characterized by a dark, porous texture with subtle brown accents—evocative of the rugged cliff faces of the Galápagos islands. Its cavernous surface is ideal for planting aquatic mosses and epiphytes, and it provides excellent structure for aquarium hardscape layouts.

Key Features:

• Dark, porous rock with textured surface—adds strong visual interest

• Ideal for planted aquariums, shrimp tanks or rich hardscape layouts

• Considered neutral in water (does not significantly raise water hardness) for most setups.

• Sold by weight (per kg) – select the quantity you need to suit your tank and layout

• Encourages natural plant growth and hides for small fish/shrimp

Usage Tips:

• Rinse thoroughly under clean water to remove dust and debris before use

• Use as a focal rock or stack multiple pieces to build a dramatic landscape

• Pair with fine substrate, lush plants (e.g., moss, Bucephalandra) and either dark background or lighting that highlights its texture

• Suitable for freshwater systems; monitor water parameters as with any natural rock
