Description
Boost your aquarium’s biological filtration with Seachem Matrix — a premium, high-porosity biomedia developed to support beneficial bacteria colonies that convert ammonia, nitrite and nitrate into less harmful molecules.
Engineered for both freshwater and marine systems, Matrix features a porous inorganic structure (~10 mm granules) which gives each liter of media over ~700 m² of surface area. This internal macroporosity means bacteria can colonise both external and internal surfaces, offering enhanced biofiltration capabilities.

Usage & Dosage:

Standard dosage: Use 250 mL of Matrix per 200 L (50 US gal) of water.

Provide good water flow through the media for optimum bacterial colonisation.Rinse in aquarium water (not tap water) during maintenance. Do not replace unless degraded.
